Spring Fling 2026 - An Invitation to the Alexandria Community

This spring, the Gadsby’s Tavern Museum Society will gather our community for Spring Fling 2026 on Saturday, April 18. This special evening of celebration takes place during an extraordinary year, the 250th anniversary of American Independence.

For Alexandria, this milestone is more than a national commemoration. It is an opportunity to honor the remarkable historic legacy of our city, a place where leaders once gathered, ideas were debated, and the spirit of a new nation took shape. Gadsby’s Tavern stands at the heart of that story.

In recognition of this historic moment, the Society set an ambitious goal to grow our endowment to $250,000 in honor of the 250th anniversary. We are now within reach. Your participation can help carry us beyond this milestone and ensure lasting support for the preservation of Gadsby’s Tavern Museum and the educational programs that serve our community throughout the year.

All Spring Fling tickets and donations directly support the Society’s endowment. Contributions are tax deductible, minus the fair market value of admission, which is $75 per ticket.

Taverns once served as civic centers of early America. They were places where neighbors met, civic bonds were strengthened, and the resilience of the New Republic was forged. Preserving Gadsby’s Tavern allows us to continue telling that story here in Alexandria and to remind future generations of what unites us. Our de facto national motto, E Pluribus Unum, meaning “Out of many, one,” captures that enduring ideal.
